General Terms and Conditions Cees & Co - the dog walking service

These general terms and conditions should be read carefully. By signing the contract, you agree to the stated terms and conditions.

General

• Cees & Co is not to be regarded as the owner of the dog(s);

• The dog(s) must be social in interaction with other dogs and people;

• Cees & Co has the right to let the dog(s) run off-leash, unless agreed otherwise;

• The walks with Cees & Co will be at least 75 minutes;

• Puppies are allowed from 6 months of age (or earlier in consultation with the owner);

• Cees & Co reserves the right to refuse dogs in advance if it believes that these dog(s) may pose a danger to other dogs or persons placed in its care;

• Cees & Co reserves the right to (temporarily) not take the dog(s) with the group if it appears, or is suspected, that the dog(s) has a contagious disease;

• Cees & Co reserves the right at all times to adjust the 'General Terms and Conditions' and the price quotes.

• If necessary, Cees & Co will receive a house key to your home so that we can pick up and deliver your dog at home. The key will be used solely and exclusively for these purposes.

• The owner of the dog(s) must be reachable by phone during the walking times;

Health

• The owner of the dog(s) ensures annual vaccinations against Distemper, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus, Hepatitis, and Para-influenza (present dog passport during intake interview);

• The owner of the dog(s) ensures preventive treatments against fleas, ticks, and worms;

• Bitches in heat are not allowed to join the walks for 3 weeks;

• Sick dogs are not allowed to join the walks;

• In case of necessary immediate medical care, Cees & Co's veterinarian will be called in (if possible, after contact with the owner). Costs for this are at the expense of the dog's owner;

• Cees & Co uses the services of Dierenkliniek Westerpark in Amsterdam;

Liability

• Cees & Co is not liable for any injury, illness, infection, lameness, or loss of the dog(s);

• The owner must have third-party liability insurance (to be presented during the intake interview), he/she remains liable at all times for the dog's actions before, during, and after the walk;

• Cees & Co is not liable for damage caused to/by the dog. Any costs for medical care and damage to third parties will be recovered from the owner of the dog(s). If it is not clear which dog(s) caused the damage, the costs will be shared among the owners of the dogs;

• Cees & Co is not liable for damage to the home/household contents caused by a wet/dirty dog if the extra washing service from Cees & Co is not used;

• Cees & Co is not liable for damage/burglary in the home, unless it can be demonstrably proven that it is due to misuse of the key made available to it;

Subscription

• Cees & Co is closed on official public holidays;

• In the event of a weather warning, extreme slipperiness, or life-threatening conditions, the dogs will not be walked;

• Cees & Co reserves the right to exclude dogs due to repeatedly unacceptable behavior;

• In case of repeated violation of the agreed rules and General Terms and Conditions by the owner of the dog(s), Cees & Co reserves the right to terminate the contract;

• Cees & Co applies a notice period of one calendar month; if your dog stops participating immediately, already paid fees will not be refunded;

Planning and payment

• The dog(s) will be picked up and delivered at the agreed times at the agreed address (these times may vary slightly), otherwise the walking appointment will be charged;

• An agreed walk may be canceled up to 24 hours in advance. This walk can be rescheduled on an agreed day within 3 months. For walks canceled less than 24 hours in advance, no refund and/or make-up day will take place;

• Any changes to the walking schedule can only be realized if they fit into the existing weekly planning;

• The dog owner communicates any holidays as early as possible, but at least 2 weeks in advance;

• Invoicing will be direct debited prior to the new period if the authorization for this has been signed;

• Payment must be made prior to the next period, according to the invoice amount. If automatic direct debit is not used, payment must be made by bank transfer using the payment link sent with the invoice;

• If payment is not made, a 10% increase of the total amount will follow after 30 days, and a 30% increase of the total amount will follow after 60 days.
